Just in, the abducted female students from the Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara, have regained their freedom after being held captive for four days by suspected bandits.
According to reports, the girls arrived at the state Government House, Gasau, at 5 am today (Tuesday), four days after their kidnap.
Addressing them, the state Governor, Bello Matawalle, said they should take their ordeal in good faith, assuring them that the enemies would be brought to book.
Recall that the 317 students were abducted early Friday morning, two weeks after dozens of students and staff members were abducted by armed bandits from a school in Kagara, Niger State.The students in Niger were released on Saturday morning.
The state governor, Bello Matawalle, via his official twitter account, announced that he received the girls this morning.
