The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service have saved a Peddler Truck conveying 11,000 Litres AGO from causing havoc on Wednesday early morning at Jakande 1st Gate, Lekki – Epe Expressway, Lagos.

This was disclosed in a statement by Ogabi Olajide, Chief Fire Officer,Deputy Head,Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
According to the statement, the Truck with registration number FKJ 703 XF heading inward Ajah reportedly caught Fire while on motion.
However, the swift response of the Lekki Phase l Fire Crew of the Agency ensured that only the cabin, where the Fire emanated from was affected while other sections of the Truck and contents were saved.
There is no casualty as both the driver and his assistant escaped unhurt while the cause could be traced to mechanical fault.
A team of Policemen from Ilasan Police Division and officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were on hand to bring the operation to a logical conclusion.
