The stage is getting set for Saturday’s election to fill the vacant slot of House of Assembly seat of Ekiti East Constituency One in the Ekiti State House of Assembly.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) says it will leave no stone unturned in conducting free, fair and credible bye-election in the poll.

INEC National Commissioner in charge of South West, Dr. Adekunle Ogunmola after supervising distribution of sensitive materials for the poll at the CBN Office Ado-Ekiti said the electoral body had made adequate preparations for the bye-election, assuring the people of Ekiti East Constituency one of good outcome.
On his part, the Ekiti State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Adeniran Tella also assured that the election will be fairly conducted advising all political actors to play according the rules.

Representatives of the Five political parties namely APC, AA, PDP, APGA and YPP that Will be participating in the poll expressed satisfaction with the way the sensitive materials were distributed and other run up activities.
Ekiti East Constituency one has thirty-seven (37) polling units with twenty-three thousand, six hundred and seventy (23,670)registered voters.
