Abdulaziz Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State in North-West Nigeria, said he has not forfeited his money to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Yari was reacting to speculations suggesting that the ex-governor had forfeited his assets following the forfeiture order pronounced by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
The Judge had ruled that Yari should forfeit $669,248 and N24.3 million to the Nigerian Government and also gave him 14 days to show cause why he should not forfeit the money.
