An Ekiti local government supervisor has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen, barely a week after a monarch was abducted by gunmen who invaded his palace.
The state police spokesperson, Sunday Abutu disclosed that the Supervisor of Ekiti West Local Government was kidnapped on Thursday evening while driving towards a town within the local government (Erijiyan Ekiti).

His car was reportedly left beside the road as he was whisked away by the abductors. Abutu assured that the state police command will ensure the rescue of the LG supervisor and sustain efforts to rid the state of kidnappers and other criminals.
