The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved N8.49 billion for purchase of 12 assorted items for COVID-19 testing by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
A memo was presented by the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, on behalf of the NCDC at the Council chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The virtual council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja on Wednesday, gave the approval after considering the memo.
After The Meeting The NCDC further urged Nigerians that the ease of the lockdown did not mean that the COVID-19 outbreak was over.
The health agency said that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) activated at Level 3 had continued to coordinate the national response activities across the country.
