Massive crowd of protesters against police brutality has stormed Oyo state, Iwo Road, despite the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Sunday afternoon, announced the disbandment of the police unit after days of online and offline protests.
But the protesters want the authorities to carry out psychological evaluation and re-training of all disbanded SARS officers before they are redeployed.
These protest demonstration engulfed following the death of one Jimoh Isiaq and 8 others in Ogbomosho town Oyo state.
The Oyo State police command, However, in a statement on Saturday, denied any involvement in in the killing of Jimoh.
This has however prompted the youths of Oyo state to hit the streets in massive numbers in other trumpet their plight to the Government of Nigeria.
