Hoodlums in Lagos have sworn to attack all Lagos State public facilities and burn them down.
The Hoodlums are already carrying out their threats with attacks on public facilities belonging to Lagos including the Lagos State Public Works, BRT Terminus, the FRSC office also in Ojodu Berger completely looting them and destroying and burning cars in the premises mentioned.
The angry miscreants also attacked and burned some parts of Television Continental TVC along Aladelola Street in Ketu, Lagos as well as the BRT Terminus in Oyingbo as well as The Governors mother’s house in Surulere.
ANALYTICALS:
The events of the past 2 days could have been avoided according to analysts. They ask; since the Peaceful Protest by youths was infiltrated by Hoodlums who went about destroying police stations,killing policemen, looting public facilities belonging to Lagos State, what will be the response? Apparently a response by the security forces where in this case the army was deployed to disperse the crowd of protesting youths infiltrated by criminals.
No sitting governor is in charge of the rules if engagement of the army.
With the situation deteriorating the elements of stability was introduced to douse the tense situation which has lead to deaths of many.
Did Lagos State try to prevent the situation in Edo where inmates were set free by Hoodlums who had taken advantage of the protest and wrecked havoc on property leaving in its wake millions of Naira in ruins?
What should have been the best at to resolve the action of the Hoodlums while keeping the Protesters safe?
The Governor of the state Babajide Sanwo-Olu in his live broadcast appealed for calm in the state saying the state has met the demands of the protesters.
He said although it was slow in making quick gains because there were no front line protesters to dialogue with despite setting in motion the #5for5 point demands by the youths who protested peacefully.
