A cyber attack group known as Anonymous has hacked the official Twitter handle of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
Announcing the takeover, the group tweeted on Friday: “We #Anonymous have taken over all the NG Official Twitter’s Account to support #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY. WE’RE TOGETHER WITH NIGERIANS. EXPECT UNEXPECTED.”

“We are tired of mediocre governance. We are tired of being assaulted by men in black with arms. We are tired of the government not hearing our cries.
“#EndPoliceBrutality #EndSWAT #EndSARS Reform the POLICE FORCE #ANONYMOUS Care for the Citizens Of Nigeria,” another tweet by the group read.
The group further asked Twitter users to suggest which government website they would like to see hacked.

Earlier this week, the organisation founded in 2003 claimed to have hacked several government databases, including one which contains names and contacts of operatives of the now-defunct Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS).
