Governor Ahmadu Umar Fintiri of Adamawa State has appealed to the hoodlums to return what they stole from public and private warehouses in the state within 12 hours.
The Governor who revealed this in a state broadcast on Tuesday also threatened to demolish any building that houses the stolen items.
Some hoodlums on Sunday had invaded a warehouse in Yola, the state capital, carting away food items such as spaghetti, groundnut oil and cartons of noodles.
The warehouse is located on Kwana-Waya road on the outskirts of Yola.
The governor also vowed that he would sign an executive order for a house-to-house search if the hoodlums fail to comply with his directives, noting that the order would empower the government to destroy or withdraw ownership certificate of houses where looted goods are found.
Fintiri, who described the looters as criminals, disclosed that so far, 155 suspects were in police custody while nine vehicles and 12 tricycles loaded with the loot have been recovered.
