The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented the certificate of return to Ekiti state APC Governor-elect, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and his deputy, Mrs Monisade Afuye.

Mr Biodun Oyebanji was declared winner by INEC after polling the highest number of votes in the keenly-contested election conducted on Saturday, june 18
INEC on Sunday 19th of June, declared oyebanji as the winner of the gubernatorial election at the headquarters in Ado-Ekiti.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate secured 18,7057 votes, while the Social Democratic party (SDP) candidate, Segun Oni scored a total of 82,211 votes.
