The Ekiti State Police Command says it has deployed adequate Personnel for the successful conduct of the Ekiti East Constituency one of Ekiti State House of Assembly, bye-election which is scheduled later today. (Saturday, 20th March, 2021).

While addressing the security personnel in Ado-Ekiti, the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, Mr. Tunde Mobayo charged the officers to be professional and avoid any form of corrupt practice while discharging their duties.

He issued stern warning against all forms of electoral malpractices and violence during the election and after, while calling on the political party leaders and supporters to conduct themselves in accordance with the electoral guidelines and principles.
Mr. Mobayo however, has restricted vehicular movements in and out of the affected areas during the election temporarily, permitting only those on electoral duties and essential services and appealed to motorists to take alternative routes till the conclusion of the electoral process.
