Ekiti State House of Assembly has elected a new Speaker.

The new Speaker, Rt Hon Gboyega Aribisogan, who represents Ikole constituency, was elected at plenary on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Aribisogan, from Ijesha-Isu in Ikole Local Government Area, was sworn in by the clerk of the House, Mr. Tola Esan.
Aribisogan replaced the late Rt Hon Funminyi Afuye, who died in October 2022 after a brief illness.
