Nigeria’s music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has succumbed to pressure from Muslim critics on Twitter by deleting from social media platforms the controversial music video of his signee, Logos Olori which featured some Muslims appearing to be praying.
Davido earlier posted the video on social media platforms.
Davido posted the 45-second long video clip of Logos Olori’s new song, ‘Jaye Lo,’ on Friday, to promote the song ahead of the official release.
However, the video generated controversy as many Muslims including Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, attacked the music superstar over the video.

The critics described the music video portraying some men to be praying and dancing in front of a mosque as disrespectful.
Though many of Davido’s fans rose to his defence, many Muslims considered the video offensive to their religion and asked that it should be taken down.
They also asked Davido to apologise to his Muslim fans.
Yielding to the pressure, SaharaReporters’ check on Davido’s social media pages including Twitter and Instagram on Monday morning showed that the video had been deleted.
