Provost Officers of the Nigerian Air Force at the Air Provost Squadron in Jaji Kaduna State have arrested Mr. Simon Bernard the alleged killer of Navy Commandant Oluwayemisi Ogundana, Provost of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Secondary School, Jaji in Kaduna State.
Reports on Monday; 5days after her murder, showed that she was allegedly having an extra-marital affair with her killer, one Mr. Simon Bernard.
Mr. Bernard who was the Chairman of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of the school, confessed to the crime saying he had been sacked from the position on the orders of the slain Commandant, Commander Ogundana who he claims reneged on a deal with an agreed sum of 2.5 million Naira to be paid to him for his services to the school.
During interrogation, the suspect; Mr Simon Bernard confessed to the killing of Navy Commandant Ogundana at Angwan Loya village in Jaji.
He further confessed that he had several confrontations with Commandant Ogundana along with other staff over her decision to have him sacked as the PTA Chairman of the school and he bore the grudge against her.
Commandant Oluwayemisi Ogundana’s body was discovered on Thursday, dismembered; in a sack popularly called “Ghana Must Go” and dump in a well.
Mr. Simon Bernard has been handed over to the police for further investigations.
