President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a further lockdown order on Lagos Ogun and the FCT for another 14 days.
The President Said this in a live Nationwide broadcast this evening saying the situation is not a Joke, its a matter of life and death.
While laying example of cities across the world like Mecca Itally Spain and other countries, Presi he said we must not let the gains recorded to slip off our Control.
President Buhari also asked health experts to increase their efforts in order for the country to get back to it’s normal livelihood.
He also said parliative will be sustained while the support for 2.6 million households will be scaled up to 3.6 million households over the next 2 weeks.
He encouraged social distancing saying the irresponsible actions of a few can lead to the death of many.
The PTF will do whatever it takes to assist Nigerians and ensure the impact of the virus is minimal on the economy.
“By working together and carefully following the rules we can defeat this virus. As a result of this pandemic the world as we know it has changed and we must adjust to it.”
While Thanking Nigerians for their patience the President also cautioned against actions that will lead to insecurity in the nation.
