Nigeria has recorded 1,016 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Wednesday night on their official twitter account.
According to the centre, in the last 24 hours, 1,385 recoveries were recorded.
It noted that the discharges include 537 community recoveries in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 459 in Lagos State and 78 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
But 11 new deaths were also recorded.

20 states and the FCT recorded new cases on Wednesday.
Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 434.
The FCT recorded 155 new cases while Plateau recorded 94 new cases.
Also, Kaduna and Rivers States recorded 56 new infections each while Oyo State recorded 30.
Others are from Nasarawa-27, Zamfara-25, Abia-22, Enugu-18, Kano-18, Bayelsa-15, Edo-14, Ogun-11, Borno-10, Ebonyi-10, Jigawa-7, Anambra-4, Delta-3, Niger-3, and Osun-3.
The total number of confirmed cases is now 86,576.
So far, 73,322 recoveries and 1,278 fatalities have been recorded.
