Nigeria has crossed the 1000 mark of deaths as a result of the Covid-19 virus.
Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Health Dr. Olorunmimbe Mamora said this during the Covid-19 Presidential Taskforce briefing in Abuja.
He said there is need to improve on healthcare delivery in its entirety in the nation, and in particular care for Covid 19 victims.
Dr. Mamaora Acknowledged that healthcare is not the only challenge we face as a country, hence the need to strenghten all facets of the health sector
He also stated that Nigeria will receive it’s polio immunization certification this week which will make Nigeria polio free.
He further enjoined private sector practitioners in the health sector to liverage with the government at all levels to deliver world class service for the citizenry.
