Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases increased further on Friday, April 16, 2021, with 67 new infections in 9 states
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in its daily update on Coronavirus.
The unit through their daily report showed that the country reached a record of 164,147.

The data released by NCDC showed that 1 person was recorded dead leading to a total number of 2,061.
In its record, Lagos had the highest number of 26 people who tested positive, while Kaduna had a record of 11 and then Akwa Ibom, 8.
Rivers State recorded 8, Ogun 5, while Kano and Osun had a record of 3.
While FCT had 2, Plateau had a record of 1 only.
This has brought the nation to a total number of 164,147 confirmed, 154,304 discharged, and 2,061 deaths.
