Unconfirmed reports say The French government may be planning to reverse the ban it placed on the use of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of the novel Coronavirus.
American entrepreneur Michael Coudrey revealed in a post on his Twitter handle that the French government may be set to approve the use of Chloroquine drug to treat COVID-19 patients.
He said “French government reverses earlier ban on hydroxychloroquine for treating COVID19 patients in light of successful clinical studies showing significant efficacy against the virus.
“Hydroxychloroquine may now be prescribed to treat COVID-19 in France.”
He added that other countries may have adopted the age-long antimalarial for treatment of the disease.

Nigeria, through NAFDAC has since approved the drug which it ban 11 years ago for clinical trials only, the results will determine whether or not the government will approve use of the drug against Coronavirus in the country.
