Control TV reports that a 41-year old man, Mosunmola Azeez was on Wednesday May 25 remanded at Agodi Correctional facility by an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan, for allegedly raping a married woman.

The suspect who is being tried on one-count of rape, reportedly committed the offence on April 30, at about 2:00pm.
Azeez allegedly raped his 30-year-old victim at Budo Iseyin camp, via Saki town, an offence which contravened Section 357 and punishable under Section 358 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
Magistrate Munirat Giwa-Babalola who did not take the plea of the accused person for lack of jurisdiction, ordered his remand at the Agodi Correctional facility.
The magistrate also adjourned the matter until August 1 for mention.
