Olute of Ute, Ose Local Government Area (LGA), Oba Michael Adetunji Oluwole in Owo, Ondo state has been in a legal tussle with the Olule Omolaja Ruling House.
The Olule Omolaja Ruling House had challenged the retired Army Major’s right to ascend the throne for the past 29 years.
Justice Ademola Enikuomehin of the Owo High Court nullified the selection process that brought Oba Oluwole to the throne and ordered a fresh selection process on Tuesday.

He said, “Oluwole has no right to the throne, being a member of the Kingmakers’; he should no make himself king.”
The Counsel to the claimant, Adewumi Fabuluje said the ruling was a victory for the Olule Omolaja Ruling House adding that the case began in 1995 and has been taken to all courts.
