A serving corps member in the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Monica Dickson, on Friday, sensitized students on the scheme’s core values and the act to imbibe reading culture.
Dickson carried out her one-day Personal Community Development Service, CDS, at St. Michael’s Secondary School Ado-Ekiti themed: “Sensitization on NYSC Core Values And Reading Culture.”

She sensitized the students on the need to inculcate the act of reading, reiterating that as future leaders of tomorrow, it is pertinent for them to embark on reading towards attaining greater heights.
Speaking on NYSC Core Values, the President, Editorial CDS Group Ado-Ekiti, Oham Precious, charged the students to exemplify the ideals of national development by instilling in them the core values of the scheme such as loyalty, integrity, efficiency, commitment, teamwork etc.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Vice-Principal of the school, Mrs Akinyeye appreciated the convener for the programme while urging the students to be disciplined towards their goal of achieving enviable heights in their academic.
Highlights of the event was a presentation of reading materials to the students such as Journals, Exercise Books, Pens, refreshments etc.
