Chelsea have been called ‘stupid’ by its former defender Frank Lebouef after their 3-2 defeat to West Ham on Wednesday.
The Blues missed the chance to go third in the Premier League after goals from Tomas Soucek, Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko secured victory for the Hammers.
Chelsea had looked in control for much of the match and took the lead through Willian, with the Brazilian slotting home from the penalty spot after Christian Pulisic was fouled.
However, Soucek nodded in a corner – having already had one goal ruled out by VAR and Antonio put the home side ahead shortly after the break.
Frank said: “That was a complete stupid Chelsea, didn’t give their best, was in possession of the ball, dominating the game, but making so many errors.
They punished themselves and they deserved to lose with the performance they gave today and I’m sure Frank Lampard must be as upset as I am.
“And I’m frustrated on top of being upset, they didn’t do what they had to do to get the three points and make sure that they still have the gap of five points [above Manchester United] and go in front of Leicester. he said
