Thiago Silva scored Chelsea’s second as he headed home Mason Mount’s cross. This cemented his side’s third win over Spurs this month.

The defender earlier did enough to earn himself a foul to deny Harry Kane a goal in the first half.
Kane tapped past Kepa Arrizabalaga after a light tussle with Silva in the Chelsea box, only to be penalised for a foul on Silva, leaving the game scoreless at half-time.

Ziyech’s masterful curling effort transformed the mood at Stamford Bridge, however, for both himself and all of Chelsea.
The win – Chelsea’ fourth this season over Spurs, including a two-legged league cup semi-final this month – left the Blues in third place on 47 points, 10 points behind leaders Manchester City who have played a game fewer, and one point behind second-placed Liverpool who have two games in hand over the Blues.
Spurs are seventh on 36 points although they have played four fewer games than Chelsea.
