Mbappe netted a fine equaliser in the 32nd minute, shortly after Lionel Messi had put Barca ahead from the penalty spot.

PSG were also thwarted by some excellent work from Marc-Andre Ter Stegen as last season’s runners-up produced a hugely impressive performance in their first Champions League outing under boss Mauricio Pochettino.
It leaves Barca requiring another considerable comeback heading into the second leg at the Parc des Princes on March 10.
