The Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has finally given himself in on Wednesday after several previous invitations by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bello is being investigated for financial crimes committed during his tenure as governor of Kogi state.
His media office in a statement released on Wednesday said that the decision to go to the EFCC was made after consultations with his family, legal team, and political allies.
EFCC had on April 18, 2024, declared Bello wanted over allegations of money laundering, after he reportedly shunned a series of invitations and resisted arrest.
Speculations also became rife that estranged Béllò has been on the run from the authorities and actually boasted of having committed no crime and is also covered by immunity as a former Governor.
