An Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court in the United Kingdom has remanded a former deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Ike Ekweremadu, and Beatrice, his wife in prison.

The duo have been denied bail after they were arrested and arraigned in court over attempted harvesting of organs.
Control TV had reported how Ekweremadu and his wife were arrested by the Metropolitan Police in London for alleged conspiracy to harvest the organs of a child.
When they were arraigned on Thursday, the court refused to grant them bail but ordered that they should be remanded till July 6.
