Gunmen are said to have targeted the Divisional Police Headquarters in Adani, Enugu State’s Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area.
According to reports, the attack occurred in the early hours of Wednesday.
Two police officers were killed, and several others were wounded, when the police station was set on fire.

According to sources, the assault on the police station began about 2:30 a.m. and lasted around an hour.
Gunmen have targeted police stations in the South-East and several states in the South-South in recent weeks.
Though the Indigenous People of Biafra and its armed arm, Eastern Security Network, were suspected of being behind the attacks by the immediate former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, IPOB has categorically refuted the allegations.
A police station in Ukpo, Anambra State, was also targeted by hoodlums on Monday.
