Human Rights Activist and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, was attacked by suspected hoodlums at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday.
Sowore was denied access into the court by the security operatives. But as he was still talking to the security men, some boys numbering about 20, it was observed arrived.

Their presence was noticeable in the confusion because they looked unkempt.
It seemed clear that the group of people were on a mission.
Immediately the suspected hoodlums identified Sowore, they descended on him, slapping and throwing punches at him.
To the surprise of everyone, the security agents just looked on but sluggishly intervened.
It took an outburst from onlookers and journalists before the security operatives arrested two out of the alleged hoodlums.
