President Muhammadu Buhari is participating in a Virtual Session with the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, on the situation in Mali.
President Buhari is taking part in the meeting from the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Personal Assistant on New Media to President Buhari, Bashir Ahmed, Had on Wednesday announced through his verified twitter handle that the president will preside in the meeting.
President Buhari Will be joined by some top government officials including the Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, Zubairu Dada; and Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (retd.), among others.
Buhari and four other ECOWAS leaders had visited Bamako, Mali, last month, followed by a virtual extraordinary summit of the sub-regional body.
ECOWAS Special Envoy to the Republic of Mali, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, had on Tuesday briefed him on the political situation in the West African country.
