The Presidency has now confirmed the earlier reported robbery attack on the premises of the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, on Monday morning.
It was earlier reported that a gang of armed robbers attacked the homes of Agboola Gambari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, and an admin officer, Abubakar Maikano, in the premises of the Presidential Villa.

Now, Presidential Spokesperson Garba Shehu has confirmed via his official Twitter account that there was an attack on Gambari’s residence, although it was downplayed as a “foolish attempt”.
He said, “The Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, has confirmed that there ‘was a foolish attempt’ to burgle his residence at 3:00 am this morning, but it turned out to be unsuccessful.
“Professor Gambari, whose house is on a street next to the Villa has assured that there is nothing to worry about from the incident.”
