The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State Rotimi Akeredolu re-elected.
Akeredolu polled 292,380 votes to defeat his challengers in the election held on Saturday.
His closest challengers Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) got 195,791 votes while Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party got 69,127 votes.
A total of 17 candidates took part in the election
