Tola Oyediran the eldest child of the late statesman Obafemi Awolowo has passed on.
She died on Friday aged 79.
Mrs Oyediran was until her death the chairman, board of directors of African Newspapers of Nigeria, publishers of Tribune newspapers.
She would have clocked 80 on December 1.
Prior to her death, the deceased was said to be hale and hearty, Nation reports.
