It has been from one security check to another as lawyers, litigants and journalists tried to gain access into the federal high court Abuja, where the trial of the proscribed IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu is expected to resume.
At the main entrance to the Federal High Court, the DSS operatives maintained that only the selected jornalists on the list would be granted access into the court.
Getting to the entrance of the court room, journalists and lawyers were also denied access by the operative who also demanded for a list.
The media has described this act by the DSS as an infringement of their right and an attempt to stiffle free speech and gag them.
Few lawyers and journalists have eventually gained access into the court room awaiting the arrival of the presiding judge, former governor of Anambra state Chukwuemeka Ezeife is also in court, but the defendant Nnamdi Kanu is yet to arrive.
