A Lawmaker from Anambra state Hon. Okey Okoye who was abducted by Gunmen has been killed; beheading him, and gruesomely displayed his head at a motor park in Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state
Residence panicked on seeing the head of the abducted Anambra State house of Assembly member in the motor park as word filtered fast through the state on Saturday
Reports say his body was not anywhere there and had gone missing.
“The Anambra late lawmaker represents Governor Soludo’s constituency, the late lawmaker’s head was mounted at Chisco Park in Amichi community,” a military source told SaharaReporters on Saturday.
Gunmen had last Sunday abducted the lawmaker who was representing Aguata II state constituency in Aguata alongside Cyril Chiegboka, his campaign director.
Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo had said during the week that efforts were ongoing to rescue the Anambra lawmaker from his abductors.
The community, had been witnessing a series of violent killings in the last 1 year.
