President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana has apologised on behalf of his country for the recent demolition of a building at the Nigerian High Commission in Accra, Ghana.
Akufo-Addo tendered his country’s apology to the Nigerian government during a phone call to President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
The Ghana leader assured President Buhari that he has directed a full investigation into the matter, assuring that justice will be served.
Earlier in the day, it further emerged that some suspects had been arrested and will be arraigned in court.
