The NCDC has confirmed 131 cases of the coronavirus in Nigeria today. The agency has also announced 2 deaths from the virus.
The NCDC DG Dr. Chikwe Iheakweazu had earlier said that for every case reported they activate a follow up on 50 possible contacts with steps to ensure they self quarantine and inform the NCDC if they begin to manifest symptoms.
Dr. Iheakweazu said they are currently following up on over 6000 likely covid -19 cases traceable from positive cases.
Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 13 in Lagos, 4 in FCT, 2 in Kaduna and 1 in Oyo State
