The Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru has died in an air crash today at about 6pm while on an official trip to Kaduna.
It was gathered that Lt General Attahiru died with his aides during the plane crash.
Efforts were on to locate the wreckage of the plane and evacuate remains of the victims.

the wreckage of the plane has been found and people were seen at the scene trying to put out the fire and billowing smoke.
