Mr Abiodun Oyebanji, has taken his oath of office as the Ekiti State Governor.

He was sworn in by the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Hon. Justice Oyewole Adeyeye at exactly 12:53 pm amid cheers from the mammoth crowd present at the Ekiti Parapo pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
Dressed in white agbada with a cream cap to match, he pledged to preserve, protect and defend as well as preserve the office as governor.
The epoch making event had in attendance the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu,his Osun counterpart, Gboyega Oyetola, Minister of Trade Industry and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, the outgoing Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, Ekiti Speaker, Funminiyi Afuye and former Chief of Defence Staff, Gabriel Olonsakin among others.
