The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Governor Bala Mohammed of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 9, 2019 governorship election.
The apex court dismissed the appeal by former govenor of Bauchi state, Mohammed Abubakar, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging the election.
In the lead judgement by Justice Dattijo Mohammed, the Supreme Court held that Abubakar and the APC failed to prove allegations against the election of the governor.
