The trial of embattled Nigerian actor, Omiyinka Olanrewaju popularly known as Baba Ijesha, for the alleged sexual assault of the foster daughter of comedienne, Princess, resumed today July 26.

Baba Ijesha, the 48-year-old actor is being charged with six counts which consist of sexual assault by penetration, indecent treatment of the child and sexual assault all of which are prohibited by sections 135, 137, 261, 202, 262, and 263 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.
The accused arrived at the court at 9:30 am together with his friends. Nigerian comedienne, Princess and Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo were also present at the court.
Ijesha was first arraigned in court in June and the court denied him bail.
