Former CBN Governor and Governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance Professor Chukwuma Soludo (APGA) has won five Local Government Areas in the ongoing governorship elections to determine who leads the state over the next 4-8 years.
Soludo is reported to have won in Awka South, Onitsha South, Anambra East, Anambra West and Anaocha.
This is however distant as he will be required to have 2/3 majority votes in not less than 11 local government areas in the state to become the next Governor of The eastern state.
There are 21 LGAs in Anambra but only the results of four have been announced at LG collation centers and it has been a clean sweep for the candidate of the ruling party in Anambra.
Soludo has a total of 38,413 votes from the five LGAs. He is followed by Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 14,543 votes in the third place is Senator Andy Uba with a distant 8,145 votes. In the race to the government house.
