The Edo State Head of Service Anthony Okungbowan has been kidnapped by gunmen in Benin City the state capital.
The incident which has unsettled the government of the state happened late on Saturday 19th of December 2020.
The Head of Service was said to have been whisked away to an unknown destination at gunpoint by the gunmen.
The kidnappers have made no contact with anyone and his whereabouts is unknown.
Residents have been asked to remain calm as the government and security agents move in to investigate and set up a man search.
