A young man alleged to be a ballot box snatcher has been gunned down in ANyigba Ward, Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi State.

According to reports, the man identified as Ojochenemi Akayaba, aka Akaiba, a graduate of Political Science, attempted to disrupt the election by snatching ballot boxes and he was gunned down by the Nigerian Army.
Human rights lawyer, Chidi Odinkalu shared a video from the scene and wrote:
“An attempt by a young man called Akaiba to snatch a #BallotBox has reportedly resulted in a fatality – his fatality – around the KSU Polling unit in under Anyigba Ward, Dekina LGA of Kogi State in NC.”
People who knew Akaiba have taken to Twitter to share his photos, including the ones taking as he passed out from NYSC.
