The Federal Government has suspended the operations of the airline which conveyed musician, Naira Marley and a former Big Brother Naija housemate, Kim Oprah, to Abuja.
This was disclosed by the Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, via his Twitter handle.
He said, “Ministry of Aviation has suspended operations of the ExecuJet indefinitely for providing false information to convey Naira Markey to Abuja for a concert.

However Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika stated that the flight that transported Nigerian Musician, Naira Marley to Abuja was approved indeed but was only given approval to convey a justice of Nigeria on official assignment, but Naira marley was smuggled in illegally.
This statement was released In a Press briefing during the daily update by the PTF COVID-19, The minister said the company has been banned from operations indefinitely while the captain has been suspended for providing false information.’
His statement reads:
We approved a flight indeed, but not for any musician. Approved flight was to convey a Justice on official assignment, but ExecuJet illegally used it to convey a musician to Abuja for a concert,” Sirika said.
“The operation is a clear violation of our approvals which we take seriously. It seems this is becoming a norm as it’s the second time. ExecuJet services are hereby suspended indefinitely and we’ll also fine them maximally according to the law.
“The captain of the flight will also be sanctioned for giving wrong information to the control tower. It seems also that the people are not tired of trying our resolve. We will put stricter mechanisms in place to prevent this from happening again,” the minister added.
