The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami has ordered the Inspector General of Police to provide security for the 17 Edo All Progressives Congress Lawmakers who impeached the House of Assembly’s Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
This development came after a petition was written to his office by Idahosa-West Chambers, Malami however, said the security measure is necessary to prevent breakdown of law and order.
These 17 lawmakers are said to be in need of security aides following their endorsement for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
