Investigations carried out by Controltv.ng has revealed the true position of Musician Duncan Mighty whom Controltv.ng earlier today reported was Abducted.
Our investigation has now established that the Music Star was not Abducted but Arrested by the Imo State Police command a stack departure from Duncan Mighty’s claims on Social Media. An alarm which was raised by club owner, Cubana Chief Priest.
The Spokesperson of the Imo State Police Command, Superintendent Ikeokwu Godson moments ago confirmed that the arrest of Duncan Mighty was carried out by men of the state’s police command in Owerri on Fraud charges amounting to N11 million from the State during the last administration.
The police authority revealed that Duncan Mighty entered into a deal where in he was to deliver on the management, promotion, and arrangement in partnership with other top artist and sign M2 under YOUNG WEALTH record label owned by Duncan Mighty, as a result an agreement was reached with a fee of ELEVEN MILLION NAIRA (N11,000,000) fully paid to him, However, since collecting the payment he failed to fulfill to meet his side of the agreement.
”Duncan’s arrest is consequent on a petition by M2 an upcoming artist who was to be signed-on by Duncan Mighty’s to his label as part of the deal.
”Resolving the arrest, a letter was presented by the representative of the former Governor, terminating the contract to enable him refund the money. Duncan since then was said to have absconded, and all efforts made to reach him proved abortive.
”In view of the above, a warrant of arrest was issued, that led to his arrest at the early hours of today.”
Duncan Mighty affirmed of having such agreement and collecting the fund, but said he can only refund the money if the contract is terminated,/he was then released on bail on self recognisance
