Borrusia Dortmund have turned down United’s first approach, according to Bild, with the English giants preparing another offer to tempt them into relaxing their £109m demands.
Sancho has been at Dortmund since signing from Manchester City in 2017 for a fee in the region of £8m.
The Bundesliga runners-up reportedly have no interest in lowering their asking price despite the harsh impact of coronavirus football’s finances.
Sancho is set for a return to training on Thursday as Dortmund prepare for next season hoping to challenge Bayern Munich after the dominant Bavarians stormed to the 2019-20 title.
