The body of deceased Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, have arrived the Military Cemetary for burial amid tight security.
Heavy deployment of armed Military men, including the Guards Brigade, was visible as ambulance conveying the body arrived at the Cemetery at exactly 8.38 am.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal, Abubakar Sadique, Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, the House Committee Chairman on Air Force, Bala Ib’n Nalla and the family members of the deceased have also arrived at the cemetery.
Flying Officer Temitope Arotile was murdered by a reversing vehicle driven by her old schoolmate, Nehemiah Adejoh at the NAF Base Kaduna.
Many Nigerians have expressed reservations and called for a thorough investigation into her death.
However, The Nigerian Armed Forces NAF in a statement disclosed that there was no foul play in her death and the suspect has been handed over to the Nigeria Police for investigation and prosecution.
